Do I first have to sing the root, and then the last note? Or just the answer? (For example>sing RE alone without singing the root?)

Hello, I have gone through the Microphone setup, everything runs correctly. However, when I try to sing an interval in the exercises, its shows up for about 1/2 a second, then it goes away, I can't hit the answer button fast enough. It also shows up 1 octave below what I'm singing, can someone help ...

Yes, I'm using the same Keyboard, but after reading all the problems people have had with the Uno, perhaps the best thing is to just replace it, I'll work on that, Thanks so much!
