Why always major keys?

Why always major keys?

Post by Guest »

In customized exercises, if you choose any given major-minor key pair, EarMaster always uses the mayor one.

The root is always that of the major key, and the key is always introduced with a major cadence for that root.

I think you should include an option to establish if EarMaster should use the minor or the major key.

Also if instead of keys, you I want to choose the root note, all the black key notes are spelled as flats, I think it should be custom to choose them as flats or sharps.

I agree, there could be an option to choose major and/or minor keys. We will consider that for a future version of EarMaster.

When you choose the root tone, consider it as a selection of enharmonic tones. If you choose Gb it actually means "Gb/F#".
