Setup earmaster with Roland edrums

Hi,

I've downloaded a free copy of Earmaster 7 for Windows 7 and want to use it with my Roland TD-17KVX e-drums kit. Is there a tutorial for how to set things up so I can use my drumset together with this software? I would like to test to see if this software package is a good tool for me to develop my drum skills.

Hi John,

EarMaster will receive the MIDI messages from e-drums when they are connected to your computer with a MIDI connection. You can select which commands are linked to the drums and cymbals of your kit via the remote control section of EarMaster's preferences.

Make sure to activate MIDI Input as well as Silent Input in the exercise options, so that you don't hear both the sound of your drumkit and the clapping sounds of EarMaster.

Everything is using standard MIDI messages and connections.
