Microphone option missing in rhythm clapback

Post by Huggle »

Hi - I see no way to enable microphone input in the Rhythm Clapback exercises, even though I can use it for melody singing. What can I do to enable it?

Hello,

That feature is not yet available in EarMaster 7, but it is planned.

Ah, OK - thanks!

While I appreciate the new interface and content in EM7, and the need for a High Sierra rewrite, I find it a pity that my established practices in EM6 don't translate to EM7 because of changes in the feature set (fixed-pitch, rather than any-octave, melody recognition & rhythm clapback in particular). Had there been a list of the EM6 features yet-to-come in EM7, I might have held off on the upgrade to High Sierra; I assumed that the upgrade would only add features but not remove functionality.

Hi, I understand your disappointment. The feature will make its way back very soon. As for pitch recognition, I am not sure what part of EarMaster you are referring to. It's currently set to "Any octave" in most of EM7 by default, but can be set to "Absolute" most places.

Hi there,

any news about this issue? My professor is asking me to clap hands and I bought the licence to practice at home thinking I would have the same software. Is there a way to use an older version with the same licence number? Thanks. Otherwise congrats for a wonderfull tool to learn music and rythm!

Hi,

Yes, it's actually in BETA at the moment. You cna download the BETA if you want to use it right away, or you can wait a few days until it is available in the official version. The BETA is available on the same page where you downloaded your official version. If you can't find the link, please get in touch: support@earmaster.com
