Having trouble with iPad keyboard

Post by Zaster »

I’m trying to use the solfege keyboard to do the Melodic Singback in the General Workshops and some of the notes are failing to trigger resulting in a wrong answer. I tried it with both solfege and piano keyboards and the problem happened with both. It’s bad enough that I can’t make it through even one of the 4 tone exercises. I have an iPad Pro from a couple years ago so I don’t think my iPad is too old. Also, I have done many many exercises (the entire Beginner Course) and it hasn’t been an issue before this one. Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is that the bottom edge of the screen is used by both Apps and iOS, so there is a significant lag when tapping the screen in that area. Depending on how long you press the buttons, it can make the app feel unresponsive. This issue applies to all apps, not just EarMaster.

To be sure, we invite you to send a video to support@earmaster.com to show us exactly how the problems occurs. This will enable us to find out exactly what is happening.

If I can find the time I’ll make a video. In the meantime I have been getting around the problem by using the Apple Pencil instead of my finger to enter the keys.
