Chord Degrees and Scale Degrees

Post by strav100 »

It would be great if there are tests for :-

1) Scale Degrees -- You answer if the note is 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 of the scale. The tonic chord is only played initally and all notes are in the 1 scale defined by the user
---- also flattened/ sharp notes can be added

2) Chord Degrees - the same above but with chords - buttons under the example say I, II , III , IV etc.
Again only the tonic is played once - then question go on and on after that -- a button on the interface to replay the tonic at anytime if the user loses the sense of key could be provided

-- this could be extended to first inv, 2nd inv even 7th chords and even these could be jumbled up (v.difficult!)

To make it easier to impelment proper voice leading wouldn't be important

I feel these exercises are what's required after going through Lucas Burge's course on CD (I am now on level 5)
