Setting volumes for metronome & response

Post by Frambo »

Is it possible to turn down the volume of the clap response ('You Clap')in the rhythm exercises? The claps are too loud compared to the metrenome. I've been into the Tools/Midi Devices/Midi Instruments page and increased the attack levels for the Rhythm and Metrenome but the response clap is still too loud to my ears :-( Have I missed something?

turn down the clap volume

Off course it's possible to turn the clap volume down. You only didn't say which sound you use (midi sound, "Hand Clap" on the picture bellow, or wave sound, "tapclap.wav" on the same picture). If you use the midi sound, all you have to do is lower the rhythm volume level by pressing the down arrow. But if you use wave sound, it's little more difficult, you have to go to Tools/Effects & Microphone menu and use the slide bar to lower the wave output. That should do the trick. I like to keep the sound of my rhythm clapping louder than the metronome, because that way I can easily distinct one from the other, and clearly hear what I'm doing. But, "there’s no disputing about taste.”

Thanks for that Bojan. It worked. It might be my new soundcard and headphones but the clap was uncomfortably loud to the point I couldnt hear the sidestick sound when I tapped the claps. :-? Now I've got a good volume balance and can hear when the clap is sitting right on the beat.
