Rhythmn Counting

This is my first post.

I was having a little trouble counting the 16th notes with rests and ties.
(Lesson 24)

Does anyone have a counting system that works for them?

Hi Bluenotes, there's no special note counting system, just do it slowly, at ~60 bpm tempo, for start, and think of the four 16th notes there have to been in a beat. Than try letting the second or the third note out, and see what you get. That will help you realize that there are several basic pattern that can occur in a beat with 16th notes. Once you get them at a slow pace, just start speeding up.
