Hi,
I´m running EM 7 on a Mac (OSX 10.15.7) and I am pretty happy with the program. But I would like to use my guitar as an input signal. I use an iRig by IK Multimedia as an 1-channel-interface.
I can see it is working in the preferences but as I try to us it in the exercises it does not work and I can not hear any signal. I switched to microphone in the tool bar on the right side of the exercise - no success. The Interface does not show up as an option in the tool bar.
Maybe anyone can help me out on that. Would appreciate that very much as it is an awesome learning program.

Re: iRig-Interface does not work
Hi Thilo,
When running EarMaster for the first time on Mac, you are asked to grant EarMaster access to your Mic. If you answer No to that prompt, then EarMaster can't listen to your mic input. To enable mic access afterwards, you can go in the Preferences of macOS under "Security and Privacy", find EarMaster in the list of Apps, and enable Mic input. Then you'll need to relaunch EarMaster which should be ready for mic input.

Re: iRig-Interface does not work
Hi Quentin,
thx for your answer. I granted access to the microphone. Checked it also in preferences.
In the meantime I got it to work but now I´m facing a new problem: Earmaster recognizes my iRig HD in the preferences. I see an audio signal coming in. Now I tried to switch to microphone in the tool box but it is not possible anymore. The only option is "to clap the rhythm" by hitting space.
I was so glad it worked.....but now....hope you can help me out......

Hi,
You can change answering input with the "Upper interface" and Lower interface" exercise options.
To open the exercise options, tap on the list-shaped icon at the top right of the screen.
