New chords erased in chord identification

Post by Guest »

I have a problem

I made new voicings in "chord identification", and a couple of days later, these new chords are erased.

Nobody has this problem? How can I fix that?

I'm not a developer of EarMaster so obiously I can't give you technical information about your problem, but if your custom chords dissapear, you can make a copy of the file C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Datos de programa\EarMaster\5.0\Data\Chord.da5 after you have set them.

Any time you loose your chords, delete the curren chord.da5 file, and place a copy of your backed up file.

The folder "datos de programa" may have another name on your Windows version, as it is language dependant

If you use EarMaster School and only has Student access, then you might not have the needed rights to save chords. In that case you can add custom chords, but they are not saved when you close EarMaster.

Can you define custom chords with EarMaster Pro; with or without
being able to save them?

In EarMaster Pro the custom chords are always automatically saved.
