Problems loading after a system restore

Post by jrharpy »

I needed to do a Windows restore and now when I open EarMaster, several windows pop up with "The system cannot find the path specified". The first window displays the file "c:\programfiles\earmasterpro5\Shared\Data\Users.da5". All of the files in the the subsequent pop up windows end in "da5." The program does open and eventually a message comes up "Thank you for installing Earmaster Pro5". Any solutions to this problem? Thanks.

Hi jrharpy,

This doesn't sound good.

My advice is to reinstall EarMaster after taking a backup of your EarMaster Data files (copy them and save them at another location, reinstall EM5, then move them to the same location as they used to be found).

You'll find your datafiles there:

"C:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\Application Data\EarMaster"
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EarMaster\5.0"

That should do it :)

You just need to download the trial version from our website, and use your serial number to activate it
