I play (electric) guitar and am considering buying this product. However, the technical requirements seem to require MIDI input, or MIDI somewhere in the signal stream.
Will EarMaster accept direct audio inputs (ie., without a microphone)?

Hi,
I am guitarist myself, and have used my electric guitar to input tones in EarMaster without the use of a microphone. You can download the demo from our website, plug your guitar in your soundcard, activate the Microphone tone input in EarMaster and see if it works fine with your setup. Remember to perform the Microphone installation assistant even as you're using your guitar directly plugged.
Notice however that both the microphone and a MIDI instruments are only optional. Everything but the Interval Singing exercise can be used with the mouse and computer keyboard
