EarMaster on Macintosh?
Can this program be used on mac computers?
Ear Master on Mac
Hello there!
I tried earmaster on vmware fusion on mac. The software runs not too bad, however rhythm exercises are not usable.
It's such a pity that earmaster is not ported to mac! There are more and more people using macs, wouldn't it be good to port it anyway?
Best, Rob

Hello everybody!
When the Mac version is released, the owners of EarMaster 5 for PC will be able to download EarMaster 5 for Mac from our website and activate it with the same serial number as the one they use with their Windows edition: So yes, it will be a free update
And now the good news for people using both platforms: EarMaster will be delivereded on a hybrid CD-ROM, able to run on both Windows and Mac. You won't ever have to worry about choosing one OS in spite of the other
As for today, it seems that the developping team is on schedule, so we still expect a release for October/November this year.

Re: Ear Master on Mac
With VMware Fusion, the rhythm exercises have latency. But if you disable the metronome (it just play once), it seems that the latency disappear.tajika wrote:Hello there!

Yes I do. With a delay 5ms, image and sound are synchronized. But that's not the problem. Perhaps should you try the software on a trial version of fusion to see what happens ?Quentin wrote:Have you tried to use the latency/delay tool?
(to be found in "Tools"_"Midi Devices..."_"Synchronize rhythms")
Mac and PC on a network
Does anyone know if the program can be run on macs and pc's if it is loaded on a network that has both platforms available to students? Thanks
For the time being, if the students are running Windows on their Mac they will be able to run the program from the same server as the students using Windows on a PC.
Our plan with the upcoming Mac OSX version of EarMaster is that both the Windows and Mac users should be able to launch and use the program from the same server installation.

Thanks!! I just hope that someone doesn't buy something else before you are ready to launch the Mac OS.
