Rhythm Imitation exercises with more than one bar

Post by bm »

I have been finding the Rhythm Imitation exercises very useful and I like the feature whereby the metronome timbres can be modified.
However, when it comes to exercises with more than one bar, the software highlights 'Intro' when the second (or further) bar is being played. I find this somewhat confusing.
Could someone issue a software update so that the correct bar is highlighted, please?

I don't really know what problem you are referring to, because everything works fine on my computer (1 "intro" lead-in bar, then 2, 3, 4 bars of rhythm and finally "You clap").

Are you referring to a specific lesson in the rhythm imitation exercise?

Do you have the latest update?

Thank you for your interest Quentin. Exercise 11 of Rhythm Imitation is the one I had in mind (though there might be others). I'm using Ear Master 5 Pro (build 611P) on Windows XP Home.

Hi again,
I've just been trying lesson 11 for a while and I am not witnessing the things you mention.

Try to update to build 612P (the current one) and see if things are in order. Maybe your installation is corrupted. I really can't think of anything else that could have gone wrong.

Let me know if it helps

I've upgraded to 612P but, unfortunately, the problem persists: the 'Intro' box is highlighted when the second bar is being played.

Are you maybe expecting a 4/4 rhythm when it actually is playing 5/4?
(sorry to ask if it is not the case, but I know some users get confused when they start with 5/4 in the program and didn't expect it)

I've just tried it again; at first, I thought it was working alright for 3/4 time, but today (for the first time) it is working alright for 2/4, 4/4 and 5/4 as well. Inexplicable!

It will remain one of these computer mysteries then :)
Well the important thing is that it works fine.
We have not had any feedback from people experiencing the same problem, so it should be alright I assume.
