Hello all,
Here is a fantastic link that I think you may find useful.
Follow this link goldstandardsonglist.com
This site has an indexed database of information on 5,000 of the greatest songs in popular music, composed over a 100-year period, in 14 genres ranging from ragtime to rap.
I found songs and genres that I have never played before from the website and searched for the song on you tube. This is AWESOME because you also get to see the performance being played by the original artist.
Please share your experience in this post.
Thanks
Steve

Thank you
I am glad you find it helpfull I have found this link to be very helpfull especially for songs that I have a Fakebook for but have never heard the music.
This was the main issue when I was growing up and is the reason I was stuck in the "80's for a long time" I still have friends that are still stuck in the "80's" and don't know anything else.
This list and youtube has changed my life as a musician forever.
I learned to play one style of country by watching videos of Hank Williams SR and following along.
Back in those days, there were real studio musicans and many of the videos are live!
No technical gadgest to make lazy musicians like today.
When these studio musicians were called into play, they were professionals.
Please share your experiences here on using this technique. I bet you will find it very rewarding and keep your learning experience as a musician fresh.
My name is Stephen, but please call me by my nickname "Digger"
