Using guitar as input problems

Post by Witchdoctor705 »

I am using Carbon fiber Guitar, CA, that has a Fishman Prefix Problend mixer. I am using standard tuning. Using the melodic dictation Exercise I am having problems. All of the mixer settings are neutral, ie bass, treble and I have tried both mic and pickup. The exercise sounds a double bass note when it should be a (low E on the guitar)? The guitar display shows the correct string and fret as i go thru the tuning process. The tereble notes abea to be ok.

The guitar is in tune with the software and i am using nontransposing (C0) and even harmonics.

Additionally the software displays the correct note alphanumerically but not on the feret board for the bass side of the guitar. Also the notes played on the guitar bounce arounda lot and the exercise does not pick up the correct fret note.

Hi,

In the Exericse Settings menu, try to choose "Answer Identification>Any Octave".

As for the EQ, I think it might be a good idea to turn the bass frequecies down, as they are harder to catch for the program.

Best regards,

Quentin
