In the 'Exercise Area, Interval Singing is greyed out. The Cursor-over message is: "The selected tutor contains no lessons in this exercise area. " Vista PC, service pack 1, Earmaster 5 build 616P. How can I get this exercise to work? Thank you.
Hello,
The Interval Singing Exercise is only made available in Customized Exercise mode (select that training mode at the left side of the training wizard screen), as that exercise needs to be set up according to your vocal range and preferences.
That worked fine. Thank you. I like the "Melodic Dictation" also, but wish it would play the unknown note only without the two hinted and identified notes. Is there a setting to do that?
Hello,
There are several options to activate /deactivate the playing of first tones, cadences and more under the Exercise Settings menu item in EarMaster.
You have also additional options in Cusytomized mode to control the way the exercise will work.
Ok, I got the interval singing working through customized settings but how do I get the mic to pick up my answer? It works with clapping and it reads that it's on and getting a signal when i'm singing but it never registers as an answer.
Hi,
You should use the Microphone tuning wizard to fine-tune the microphone input.
Remember also to either choose "Exercise Settings>Tone identification>Any octave" or to specify the pitch range for the answers so that the questions and/or answers match your vocal range.
