Use guitar to enter notes without using 'Ctrl' key?

Hi,

I just started using my guitar with a line in to my Mac. However everymtime I want the system to save a note played on my guitar for the exercises, the system asks me to press the 'Ctrl' key before it will save the note on the neck diagram on the screen. This is really awkward because I need both hands to play guitar.

How do get the system to just save notes without using a 'Ctrl' key?

In TOOLS>PROGRAM SETTINGS>EFFECTS/MICROPHONE, choose a lower value for "Auto Insert tones".

That way, EarMaster will notate the tones you are playing after the specified time you have defined. The shortest lag available is 600ms.
