Hi,
I'm running EarMaster 5 on my laptop with a Soundblaster X-fi card plugged into an external slot.
I can hear the sounds coming through the headphones plugged into the Soundblaster card, and I can hear sounds and music from all the apps. installed on the lapttop. Ex, iTunes, media player...etc.
I can hear sounds being sent from EarMaster fine.
The problem is I can't use any of the higher quality midi sounds available from the Soundblaster card in EarMaster. The only midi sourse available appears to be "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth".
Why can't I see my Soundblaster card?
Thanks for any help. 8-|

Hello,
If there is a MIDI soundbank available on your soundcard, then you can go to Windows' sound properties and select your soundcard as default MIDI playback device. All the sounds will then be played by your soundcard's internal sound bank instead of Windows'.
