Which interval is greater?

Thats what EM asks me when im doing interval exercise. Im kind of confused what exactly that means.

Is it asking me which interval is a higher tone?

Hi,
An interval is the tonal distance between two notes. Asking which interval is greater, is asking you to identify the interval where the distance between the two notes is the largest. For example, an interval C-D (Major second), would be greater than C-C# (minor second).

what if it was,for example, C-D and C#-D# ?

That would be the same interval (= same tonal distance), so EarMaster wouldn't ask you to compare those. If you don't know anything about intervals, you may look in the Help file of EarMaster (from the Help menu), and check the topic about the theory behind intervals. It's rather brief, but explains the most important aspects of what intervals are.
