User Login

I have done this: In the "Tools/System administration" you have an option to "Use Windows/OS X login" - if you uncheck this option, EarMaster will popup with a login window each time the program starts up, and ask for a user name and a password.

I then try to login with the Administrator name and password and it tells me that I have the wrong user or ID. No matter that I try different user names of my name (first name or last name or with a space between the first and last name or with themruntogetherwithnospaces)... I would send you a graphic of what I see but you don't allow that here. Now I'm stuck. It automatically plunks my name as USER but never accepts the password. Now I'm locked out as administrator. I can make myself a new user... This shouldn't be this hard!

What I WANT to do is be able to log in as administrator and have students log in as students. I m must be missing something extremely basic here...

When you were created as an administrator, EarMaster stored your username, to connect you with your OS login. When you disable the OS login, EarMaster still haven't got your password, so when you login, simply type your username and leave the password field blank.
Now you can go to your user properties, in the File menu, and add a password for your login if you want.
