The melodic dictation section, when I go to custom settings I can't find a compound meter.
Also, is their a way I can just write down what hear? When I take my AP exam, I won't be using the computer, I'd have to put it on paper, and I would like to get used to that.
I would also not to have to have it be just whole notes, but half, quarter, and 8th notes.
Oh and what rhythms should I choose to help me prepare for the ap?
Is their a way I can use compund to simple meter?

To have the program play different note values, you can simply tick the "Rhythm" option on, and select the note values you would like to include. The melodic dictation is currently only offering 4/4.
If you would like to use paper instead of inserting the notes on the on-screen staff, you can simply click on "New Question" to obtain a new melody, and then click on "Show the answer" to see what the correct answer was. But you won't have an instant evaluation of your answer, which is on of the most interesting aspects of training with EarMaster.
