Hello Quentin!
Why is it that (in melodic diactation) the first note shown is added in the number of answered notes?, which is, the first note i play becomes a second note. ie, if I set to 5 notes and set to show first note, the first note shown becomes the first note of my answer and the first note i play( answer) becomes the second note so it lets me play 4 notes only. Hearing five dictated notes and answer only the second to the last note is very hard. Unlike in the other exercises (interval identification, chord identification, chord inversion and scale identification) they dont behave like this.
Can you fix this please?
Thank you.
first note on melodic dictation

Hi phrygian,
The first tone is inserted on the staff instead of simply being shown when the option "Absolute" is selected in EXERCISE SETTINGS>TONE IDENTIFICATION. If you set it to "Any Octave", the first tone will be greyed out (i.e. not actually inserted but simply displayed), and won't be inserted twice when you play all five tones of your answer. This applies to all the exercises where you must insert tones actually.

- Because in Music, We're All Ears... -
But I can assure you that if you set the option EXERCISE SETTINGS>TONE IDENTIFICATION to "Any Octave", the exercise will let you play all the tones of the question, including the first one, no matter what interface you use (staff, piano, guitar, MIDI keyboard, etc.)

FIXED!
I see EXERCISE SETTINGS>ANSWER IDENTIFICATION here.
Why not make that as the default setting for this exercise? I did not use melodic dictation since I bought because of its setting.
but
This EarMaster Pro5 is Excellent!!!
