Melodic dictation : notes below D3 not recognised properly

I am playing violin. When exercising melodic dictation using the mic of my laptop and the violin as instrument - the program display every note as off G2 till C3 as G3 till C4 - basically it display them one octave higher.
I have configured the mic through the wizard of the program. Any note above C3 played on the G string is displayed ok.
How can I correct this?

In the EarMaster Microphone wizard you can choose a "Harmonic configuration" for your instrument. There are 3 different options, and at least one of them should give the correct identification of the tones.
The microphone wizard is found in the "Tools" menu.
