Conflict between mic and earmaster metronome sound

Post by Guillem Gine »

I have windowsXP, and since I installed a new program called Audacity I have problems to do ryhthm reading with earmaster.
The program inputs not only the mic sound but also the earmaster metronom sound. The internal sound inputs even whith mic off.
How to solve that ?

Hi,
This is probably because the recording input currently selected in Windows XP is set to "What you hear". This means that all audio is routed to the recording input, including sounds made by programs. To fix that, you can simply open Windows' mixer and select your microphone as recording device instead of "What you hear".
