Can i set up an exercise like this?
I was trying all day, and seems impossible. I want to practice interval identification on a custom scale that i will make, where i will point exact tones, no foreign tones exept ones that i choose. Any suggestion?
Hi,
For interval exercises, you can define in which key the intervals will be but you won't be able to specify a scale.
However, you might be interested in trying this:
1) Make a customized Melodic dictation with 2 tones
2) Create a custom scale and select it from the drop-down list
You will then have to enter 2 tones (=an interval ) on the staff/keys/fingerboard. The only difference with the interval ID exercise is that you will not see the name of the interval and you won't be able to use multiple-choice buttons to answer.

Do you mean tones with a definite pitch?
If your aim is to work with intervals based on a scale in a particular key (= with a specific staring tone), you can simply make an interval exercise with only the intervals of the scales, and adjust the Key and Root movement option to limit the question to one key.
For example, if you want a lesson with intervals from the C chromatic scale (= all of them), select all interval and limit the questions to the key of C.

Hello, sorry for late replying, didn't knew a reply was posted.
Yes, tones with definite pitch. Not a specific starting tone, but in a custom scale. For example a scale like this and only these tones: C, D, E, F, G, G#, A, B. Now, for example if it's a major third it could be with any of these tones C-E, or G#-C, or E-G#. Or if its a minor third, F-G#, or G#-B, B-D etc...
In other words, i want a dictation with more than one tone at the same time (harmonic dictation) )
