Noisy FluidR3 -- minor EM6 issue

Post by Minnesota_Ray »

The FluidR3 MIDI selection produces extra "popping" noises on my desktop computer with RealTek audio driver. Changing speakers or headsets does not fix it. It is not a major problem since the Microsoft GS Wavetable works fine. Also, I do not experience the problem on my laptop computer.

Try the following:

- Go to "Tools" in the main menu and select "MIDI Devices".
- In the window that pops up you go to "Buffer size" in the lower right corner.
- Increase the buffer size with one step, and try again.

If you still hear a popping sound repeat the steps.

Although increasing the buffer value can remove unwanted distortions, it also increases the latency (the time it takes before you hear the sound you play), so you want it to be as low as possible without hearing crackling or popping sounds.

If you still have problems with the sound, you can send an email to saleandsupport@earmaster.com
We will then take a closer look at your individual situation.

One step in buffer size solved the problem. Thanks!
