Hi-
In Preferences, I've set Audio Output to my headphones. However, when I work with an exercise the exercise sounds come from my speakers and only the correct/wrong sound effects come through my headphones. I had to separately set the output on my Windows soundcard to default to my headphones in order to get both exercise sound and sound effects to be heard in my headphones. I'd rather not have to change my Windows sound default every time I work with EarMaster. Any suggestion as to how to get both sounds going to my headphones without having to change my Windows default?
By the way, I've gotten Windows Speech Recognition working so that I can now answer EarMaster A/B Major/Minor Play Question/A/B etc all pretty well without having to touch the keyboard. I don't know whether you have other people doing this, but, so far, it's working well. It probably won't work for those exercises that also need voice input like Interval Singing, but I'll let you know.
Thanks-
Marcos

Hi Marcos,
Great to know with the Windows speech recognition, we'll try that one too .
As for your problem with audio output, are you on V5 or V6, and which version of Windows are you running?

Thanks for the response. I'm on V6 and using Win 7.

Thanks. I just did some testing on a Win 7 machine here, and I can indeed reproduce what you are describing, so there might be a bug int he audio out preference selection. Let me move that over to the developers, and if they find a problem, they'll fix it in a next update.
