unable to instill in OSX

I am unable to install the software in OSX because I don't know my admin user password. It seems like you need to be a computer programmer to change the password and I am lost. Any help?

Here is the official step by step guide from Apple to reset your admin account password in OSX: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1274
The Admin password is needed for many things in OSX, so you should definitely get it back or reset it.

If you are on Lion or Mountain Lion, it seems the password reset is easier than with previous versions.
