Low velocity - MIDI - Mac

Hello. I don't know if this is a known bug but EM plays the notes on an external instrument with much lower velocity than it should be. A proof of this is the play / preview button in the midi instruments setting. That button plays the attack as it should be but then in the exercises we get much lower velocity than that.

I have just tested it on Mavericks as well. Are you on the latest version of EarMaster (tools->check for updates). If so, what is your external instrument? do you plug it directly into the USB or through an audio interface?
