On the stave I get question marks instead of notes.

Hi,

I have just installed the trial version of EarMaster Pro 6.2. on my MAC OS X 10.11.1

On the stave I see question marks in boxes instead of notes. Do I need to change a setting somewhere?

...and today, after a system restart, the notes appear! Hooray!

I am having this same problem. I rebooted my system and it persists. I'm running version 6.2 on Mac OS 10.11

Any suggestions?

Okay. You should try to delete the setting.da6 file in EarMaster's data folder. It will then automatically re-generate a new file when you launch it. It will also reset your settings to default, but won't delete your progress in the lessons. The data folder should be located at this path:

Mac OSX: Users\Shared\EarMaster\6.x\

You can also try to search for it in finder, if you can't find it through this path.
