Hi, I have notice that the dotted half note is always at the start of the beat followed by an eight note like this:
This combination never appears the other way (first the eight note followed by the dotted half note), I never have seen it in months of practice.
And talking about rhythm exercises, I think one of the greatests things that EarMaster could do, is an exercise to write your own custom rhymth and save it to practice it all the times desired.
Random rhythms with dotted half note

And one more thing about the rythm exercise, when the option "evaluate note lenthg" is on, there is no real evaluation, you see a green line wich you can use as feedback, but EarMaster doesn't mark any mistake if you make the note shorter or if you ignore rests and keep the note. It would be gret if EarMaster could also evaluate this.
The dotted eights note seem to always begin on a beat as you mention. It think the pattern where the dotted note is the last note should also be there. Thank you for putting this to our attention. We will look into this and eventually make changes. You can use the "Check for update" function in EarMaster to see when changes has been made since the version you have installed.
The "Evaluate note length" function is supposed to evaluate the length of the notes so the result is influenced too. I looks like that doesn't happen in the latest build of EarMaster. We will look into that and fix it as soon as possible.
