Audio input problems

Post by Koeffe »

I've just tried the interval identification with my guitar through a guitar interface. I ran the mic wizard and everything seems to be okay.

When i play my tones in the interval identification training, the fretboard shows that i play the right tones. But when I click on "show the answer" it tells me that it was a wrong answer. ??

Hi,
You must either press the "Ctrl" button while playing the tone, or go in "Exercise Settings" from the TOOLS menu, and choose the "Effects/Microphone" tab. In the "Auto Insert" part of the window, you can define how long it will take the program to register the played tone and insert it as your answer. (I personnally use 600ms with my guitar and it works out perfectly ;-) )

Try to choose a different harmonic configuration (in the Tuning wizard) that matches the tones you play. If you play a E, the tuning wizrd should be recognizing a E (for instance). The Harmonic configuration will help the program to pick up yout tones at the right octave and with more precision.
