Error in the chord ID lessons?

Post by joel »

I'm just noticing on Chord ID Lesson 3, for example, that there is grey text between the treble and bass clefs that identifies the major or minor triad by name before the user supplies any input.

For the last question then, i hear C# minor, and the little text says C# minor between the clefs, and then i am to select whether what i heard was major or minor. Is this a bug or am i missing something here?

Hello Joel,
EarMaster is displaying the name of the key under the G clef. It was made so to help users who can't read music. However, it helps cheating in that particular lesson because you only have to choose between Major and minor. If you click on the same quality as the key, you will have 100% success at the lesson. This will be fixed. Until then, you can simply unselect the "Show Key Name" option from the Exercise Settings menu. ;-)
