Ascending/descending exercises: Turning off the piano pedal

Post by sommer »

Dear Earmaster staff

I perceived that when I chose a chord inversion exercise with ascending or descending notes (not sounding together) the notes are played one after another but the preceding note doesn't fade.
(Like the piano pedal is used) The same occurs with the interval exercises. I would like to isolate harmonic and melodic/intervalic training.
Is there a posibility to turn of the pedal/ to hear the notes not sounding together?
Kind regards

That option is not possible, unfortunately. The intervals are played that way in order to introduce progressively intervals played harmonically.
