melodic sight singing problem

Hi,

I have calibrated my microphone using the microphone calibration tool in EarMaster Pro 6, so when I sing C4 for example, it shows C4 (I play my keyboard through earphones to hear the note I'm singing).

However, when I do the exercises, the note I sing is always a few notes higher than the ones shown, even though I'm sure I'm singing the same note as played at the start of the exercise. So my answer is always wrong as a result. How can I fix this?

Are you using an external sound card? If yes, which model is it?
Also, which OS are you using (Windows or OSX and which version?)
