Sight-reading/learning notes via EarMaster Pro 6?

Post by jontah »

Hi!

I'm currently in the stage of trying to learn all the notes on the piano.

I noticed that EarMaster Pro 6 has this sight-reading feature. Is it possible to practice ALL the ledger lines (and with ALL I mean even the VERY high ones on the g-clef and the very high AND the very low ones on the bass-clef aswell)?

Also, is it possible to have the answers to be shown as help when learning for the first time?

My problem now is that I want to focus on the ledger lines because that's what I'm having problem learning. I'm using another software for that currently which is "Jalmus".

But I wish to do this in EarMaster pro 6 instead since I can play it in EarMaster.

So how do I setup to ONLY have the ledger lines (far up and far down) to be shown when practicing sight-reading? aswell as showing the answers for them?

This way I can learn by just practicing over and over again.

Thanks alot!!

Hi,
The range in which the questions are generated depends on your vocal range (FILE-->USER PROPERTIES). You can define a customized vocal range there that only includes notes on ledger lines.

Another option is to set up Customized sight-singing activity with custom Tone range, in which case the program will ignore your vocal range when creating new questions.
