An update about the voicing and the staff

Post by KostaC »

Hello guys!

I know that you're working on adding inversions to the bass in the cord progression section and i wanted to point few more things about it. I've noticed that when "add deep root tone" is checked EM doubles the root tone of the 7th chords so we have 5 tones. This is wrong. It should double the root only to the 5th chords, the sus ones etc. But in the 7th, 9th chords etc. we have already a four tone harmony so we dont need to double the root. It would be good if we can choose to remove parts (3rd, 5th, 7th etc..) to all the 7th and 9th and 11th and 13th chords.

Chord Progressions misses Open Voicing (root and inverted).

I study harmony and think it would be nice for the double staff to show the answers so that the soprano and alto goes to the treble clef and the alto and basso to the bass clef. It shows them like that but not always.

And last one, i think Chord Identification also needs a bass tone option (root and inverted) to the "non 7th" chords.

Thanks.
