Intermittent microphone issues Section 2.2

I see intermittent issues with my MacBook's built in mike when doing Lesson 2.2 - Melody Singback.

Every other day, that section does not appear to hear the microphone. If I used the System Settings mike test, and the EarMaster mike test from section 2.1, the mike seems to be functioning correctly.

But there appears to be about a 50/50 chance the Singback test will hear the microphone - eventually, if I run EarMaster mike test a couple of times, then test picks up the mike.

But it seems very strange.

I am running EarMasterPro 7 on a MacBook Air running Ventura 13.4.

Are you using the built-in mic of your Mac or an external one? And have you noticed if there is software that uses your microphone running when the problem happens?

I am using the built in mic with nothing else running.
