Exercise settings - exercise setup won't work

Post by adolphus25 »

I recently bought the internet download version of EarMaster Pro 5.0. I had used the trial version of EarMaster Pro earlier and was able to use this option to customize the exercises, but now I can't click the option and I can't use it. I'm being told with the help options that I can only do this with the more expensive EarMaster School program.

When I used the trial version of EarMaster Pro, I could use this option fine. I just spent $70 for the program and now I can't use the option. I registered the program with the serial number and everything fine. Is it true that I can't use this option for the amount of money I paid for the program, and that I'd have to get the School version for that option?

Hello,

In EarMaster Pro, you can make customized exercises. At the welcome screen, choose "Customized Exercise" as training mode, then choose an exercise area and click start. A new window opens and you can select the different elements you would like to work with.

The School version has this customized mode too, but has also a "Tutor Editor", which is a tool to create series of lessons, save them and assign them to students.

The demo versions are 100% what you get when you buy the software. No more, no less. The only difference between the demos and the full versions is the 21-day time limit.

If you tried the School version and liked the tutor editor tool, you should have got hold of the School version, not the Pro version. I'm sorry you got confused about that.

Maybe you didn't see the "Customized Exercise" mode in the welcome screen? The customized mode interface button is greyed out when using EarMaster in a tutor mode. To make it active again, click on the teacher's head on the left (this deactivates the tutor mode and makes you switch to customized mode).
