only treble clef

Post by mdaniels »

I just downloaded the trial version and how do I set only treble clef? The questions seem to be in other clefs too. I play the fiddle/violin and want to set in in the key of G, to start. I don't want to deal with minor chords, etc yet. Can I have the Melodic Dictation test me on melodies in the keys I want? i.e. A,E,C major, etc.

Basically, I want to start learning melodic sequences in these keys.

I have the spanish version, i'm going to give you a translation of what I see, if you don't have this exact text, look for something similar.

Menu Exercise configuration->Clef->Treble clef

Now when you are on any exercise, press the F3 key, and in the new window look for something like "tones and root movement". Check "Advanced", and then press de "Edit" button.

There you can choose keys and the range for the meolody.

I forgot something, also choose "Major Scale" on the window you get when you press f3, so you don't have to deal with minor dictation.

Hi Monica,

The posts above are right. here are the menu names in English:

- To limit the staff to the treble clef, go to the following menu:

EXERCISE SETTINGS-->CLEF-->G-Clef

- To limit the exercise to a specific set of tones/scale, select Customized Activity at the welcome screen, and then use the Advanced editing option for the key and root tone in order to select specific keys.
