Hello,
I'm a saxophone-tenor player and have been trying to use Ear master pro 7 with saxophone settings. I keep on struggling on finding the right settings so that I can hear the Tenor saxophone while using the software.
The following settings have been changed:
1. I have chosen the keyboard setting as: Tenor saxophone.
2. I don't know what to do with transposing instrument setting, when chosing the pre-configured Tenor transpose (-14), it sounds nothing like a saxophone. I'm well aware of the fact dat digital saxophone's usually sound weird, but this is nothing like a saxophone. Is there something I'm doing wrong? do I need to choose another transpose instead of (-14)?
Thank you,
Maxwell

Re: Saxophone Tenor
Hello Maxwell,
The transposing instrument setting is for notation. It should indeed be set to -14 (Tenor Sax). The Tenor sax does sound good in EarMaster, so maybe something is not configured right.
What vocal range have you selected?
