Bug in melodic imitation

Post by SmT »

I have the latest version but am experiencing an annoying bug in melodic imitation. When I imitate the notes on the piano, right as i play the last note the exercise stops and says I made a mistake, even though I am playing the correct note.

I've added a screen shot that shows this.

Are you using a MIDI keyboard?

I'm using the midi output from a Thomann DP-26 into a focusrite scarlet 2i4. It works perfectly fine in all other exercises

Thank you. A few more questions:

- Are you on Windows or macOS and which version?
- Which EarMaster build are you using? (displayed in the window's top bar)
- Which lesson is it happening in? (top of the screen) If it happens in several lessons, then please give me just one reference that I can test.

Hello,

I managed to reproduce the error. It happens when you use the "Retry" function after answer wrong to a question, and then waiting less than 2 metronome beats before playing your answer. We are going to fix that asap. Until then, you can wait a little longer (4 metronome beats for example) before doing a retry and it should go fine.

For me it also happens on the first attempt. Turns out I can avoid the error if I play immediately after the melody has been played. If I wait just one click, it seems I get the error.
