UAD Apollo unit for guitar input ?

Post by Tonto »

Just wondering if anyone is using a UAD Apollo unit to connect a guitar to Earmaster Pro 7 ?

I have just tried - no luck.

I have got a midi connection working using a KK M32 keyboard. I am a guitarist, so keen to get the guitar connection working too.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi

EarMaster only listens to the first channel of your interface. Maybe the guitar DI is channel 2 or 3 on the Apollo?

Hi Quentin,

Thanks for the suggestion.

I am not exactly sure how to check the channel 1 configuration on the Apollo unit, but I will start investigating!

I am currently using the "Hi-Z 1" 6.25 mm jack on the front of the Apollo x6 unit.

It sounds like i should be able to make the connection with Earmaster if I can just get "channel 1" identified.

Hi Quentin,

I have got it working now.

I needed to select the "microphone" as the lower instrument.

The Apollo interface provides audio input, not midi data.

The Hi-Z 1 jack on the Apollo unit is channel 1.

Hopefully this thread will help other guitar Apollo interface users.

thanks for your help

Great, thanks for explaining this to the other forum users. We don't have a UAD Apollo at our office (unfortunately!) so we can't test on it.
