Help! How to program E7 to play notes instead of chords

Post by Rasdebol »

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!
Forgive my ignorance but I need help in programming the Earmaster 7.
In the pre-programmed practice/learning choices Earmaster 7 is set up to play random CHORDS for a user to listen to and try to identify. My goal is to do the exact same thing but using individual NOTES/keys instead of CHORDS. I would like Earmaster7 to play ANY of the 88 keys for me to identify. Please assist me on how exactly(once again, I know nothing about programming E7) can I program Earmaster 7 to do this? Play random single keys/notes (or single notes/keys in a specified octave or range of keys) for the end used (me) to try to identify. Any and all help in setting Earmaster to do this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again.
All the best. Merry Christmas!

Hello,

You can do this very easily by configuring a MELODIC DICTATION with only one note. You can also use the other options to have a cadence or the tonic played before each note, or to have the notes played out of any context.
