Rhythm reading EarMaster 4

Is there any way I can use the mouse to click, instead of the space bar, when doing the rhythm reading exercises? I used to be able to do this, but when I changed computers and reinstalled Earmaster 4.0, the mouse clicking above the window of the exercise no longer works. I do not like using the space bar.

In EarMaster 4, you have to click on the text just above the staff. In EarMaster 5 you can click anywhere on the staff.
