I just got EM5. I am not clear what an "interval' is?
Is it the space between the notes?
I seem to be stumbling because I am not clear on definishions?
Is there a clossery?

Hi Robert,
If you go to Help -> Contents in EarMaster you will find a section called Music Theory. Here you will be able to find answers to your basic music theory questions. For instance the part about intervals says:
An interval is the distance in pitch between two tones. It is labeled by its numerical value and its quality. The numerical value indicates the number of tones of the diatonic scale it includes.

showing problems
Hi Robert,
Can't find glossary ("clossery"), or 'Interval' section in the Help?
Well, it can't be that difficult, can it? Just take a look at the photo below:
As for the problem about showing the guitar and all, you did not tell us the size of your screen (12, 14, 15 inch laptop), nor the screen resolution you use (800x600, 1024x768 pixels). You always need to tell all the details if you expect to get relevant help...

what are intervals?
I was just wandering, Rob, do you have a basic knowledge of music theory?
It's funny you should ask what an interval is if you do. Anyway, if you need any help, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be more than glad to help.
For start, you can take a look at the 'interval' section of EarMaster Help, or you could go online and look some music theory up, say: Ricci Adam's Music Theory, or read an article in Wikipedia on some interval theory.
