problem with rhythm exercises

EarMaster is grading all of the rhythm exercises using any of my inputs + the metronome sound.
If I do nothing, it registers my input as whatever the metronome is doing.

Yes, this can happen if the clap sounds played by your speakers are loud enough to be picked up by the mic. The solution is to use headphones or to lower the volume of your speakers a little, so that the mic doesn't react to the metronome ticks.
