Issue with H2n microphone

Post by MEL-LEN »

Hi,
I'm facing an issue when using the Zoom H2n microphone for Melody Singback exercices. When the tone is played then I get a wrong response without emitting any sound, it seems like there's a loopback that captures a fraction of the played tone as a response to the question. I've tried to use the H2n only as a microphone with another device as a speaker but the same issue arised.
Do you have any suggestion?

If the mic is close to the speaker and/or if the volume of the speaker is high, the mic might be picking up background noise or metronome ticks and misinterpret that as your answer. Try to move the mic further away form the spakers or lower the volume a little to see if that helps. EarMaster does filter out ambient noise, but only to some extent.
