Notes are playing 1 octave lower than they should

Post by krisgel »

I have EarMaster 5 on my work computer and my home computer. On my home computer, the notes are playing 1 octave lower than they should on a guitar. On my work computer they are playing correctly.

Any idea how to fix the problem on my home computer?

It may depend on the tuning you chose, or the exercice configuration. have you checked them?

Hi. Yes, I am using standard tuning for guitar and doing the interval identification exercises. Same on both computers.

Is there a way to reset all settings to default just to make sure that nothing is set wrong?

Try to go to: Tools, Program Settings, Transposing Instruments under the environment tab, and check that it is set to 0 (C) Non Transposing (Standard).
